The “Ten-Dollar Founding Father” has had an unlikely renaissance in the past half-decade thanks to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony award winning production. Long before Hamilton hit Broadway though, he had come to Ticonderoga...in a way. Alexander Hamilton never actually visited Ticonderoga during the Revolutionary War, but descendants of his provided artifacts from his life and those of his extended family, including Angelica and Philip Schuyler, to Fort Ticonderoga in the 20th century.
Join Fort Ticonderoga’s Curator, Dr. Matthew Keagle, for an evening exploring Ticonderoga’s Hamilton collection first hand. This is the first chance to explore all of these artifacts together with an expert guide and chart how they follow the arc of Hamilton's incredible career. What better way to follow up on your recent viewing of the filmed version of Hamilton and learn about the treasures at Fort Ticonderoga all at once.
